We work exclusively with local partners who build sustainable, community-owned water projects. Our partners also facilitate comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene programming to protect everyone’s long-term health.

Clean water for everyone has been our passion from the very beginning.
Bringing clean water to people around the world is more than just a mission for us - it's our passion, our driving force. Long before Water for 1 began - our founder, Jordan Mountjoy, had this calling on his heart.
2013
Jordan's passion for the mission of clean water began when he partnered with charity:water to raise $5,000 to build water wells in Gatwa, Rwanda and to bring water to 347 people.
2015
Recognizing an opportunity to make a substantial impact beyond himself, Jordan established the outdoor clothing brand RCKMNKY in 2015. RCKMNKY has served as a platform for connecting people and spreading the goal of providing clean water to a world in need.
2017
RCKMNKY contributed $6,000 towards the resettlement and reestablishment of livelihoods for a family of 18 residing in a Nairobi slum. It was a privilege for us to collaborate with the Mwangi Project on this initiative.
2018
RCKMNKY donated $8,000 to help fund a Piped System in Tiokombougou, Mali that now brings water to over 288 people per year. This project was led and organized by charity:water.
2019
In 2019, RCKMNKY proudly donated $10,000 in conjuction with charity:water to support the provision of water for schools in India. This significant contribution aimed to address the critical need for clean water sources within educational institutions across the country, emphasizing our commitment to improving access to safe water for communities worldwide.
Late 2019
In 2019, RCKMNKY seized another opportunity to contribute $1,000 towards providing clean water filters to villages situated along the Amazon River in Loreto, Northern Peru.
2020
RCKMNKY was once again able to serve the needs of the people of Loretu, Northern Peru by donating $5,000 to bring clean, drinkable water to 1,000 people.
2024
Water For 1 was founded.
In the years before Water For 1 was founded, Jordan Mountjoy and others contributed over $30,000 to diverse initiatives, with $24,000 dedicated to water projects. As a result, RCKMNKY been able to provide clean water to 1,866 individuals across three different countries.
